The premiere was attended by stars of the match and film – Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, as well as the likes of Rafa Benitez and Kenny Dalglish. Prior to viewing the film, guests were invited to Jamie Carragher’s own restaurant Café Sports Express for champagne and canapés, where they were also able to play their favourite Wii games, all using jOG! Guests at the premiere were encouraged to sign a specially made ‘jOG’ England football shirt, which will soon be auctioned off for charity. All proceeds from this auction and from the film itself will go to ‘The 23 Foundation’, a local charity which provides sports facilities and health awareness to disadvantaged children.

This was a fantastic event, promoting a hilarious movie and helping a local charity, and also giving us the opportunity to see some famous faces trying jOG!

The Manchester Science festival is now in its third year and is packed with over 150 events designed to excite and inspire young people and adults alike about science, technology and engineering. This year’s event, is divided into four main themes; ‘Manchesticity’, ‘Mind & Body’, ‘Our planet & beyond’ and ‘Bright ideas.’
