Q.

My jOG does not seem to be working, what can I do?

A.

If jOG doesn’t seem to be working properly at any time, try unplugging it from the Wii Remote and reconnecting it. It is very important to ensure that the joystick on the Nunchuk is in the central position when connecting jOG.

Q.

Can I use jOG with my Wii Fit?

A.

No, jOG is only compatible with platform games. For a full list of compatible games click here.

Q.

Does jOG require batteries?

A.

jOG does not need batteries because, it runs off a small amount of power from the Wii Remote. So, no need to worry.

Q.

How can I use jOG for fitness?

A.

jOG has a built-in pedometer function that counts the steps you take. For each step you take, the step count is incremented by one and the calorie estimate is recalculated. An hour using jOG burns approximately 400kcal at the right pace.

Q.

Can I reset the number on the pedometer?

A.

Yes, at any time. A long press on the button for approximately 4 seconds resets the step counter and calorie estimate to zero. jOG will require confirmation and will display Reset OK? on the LCD. To confirm, press the button again. If you do not wish to reset, the confirmation message will disappear after 5 seconds.

Q.

How do I find out how many calories I have burned?

A.

You can access Calorie Mode with a double button click. When activated ‘kcal’ is displayed for approximately 1 second and then the estimated number of calories is displayed for approximately 5 seconds, in tenths of kcal e.g. 2345.7. The display then returns to Step Mode automatically.

Q.

Do I still need to control the direction of my game character?

A.

Yes, jOG controls the movement of your on-screen character but you still need to use the joystick to control the direction of the character.

Q.

I heard there is a Couch Potato Mode, is this true?

A.

Yes, a short press of the button turns couch potato mode on or off. In couch potato mode, jOG has no impact on game control, steps are not counted and the LED is lit continuously.
